Jay smilled shyly and nodded, "Sure."

"Are you sure? I can take the couch, you should have your bed... It is your bed after all."

"Come by tomorrow around eight in the morning, that's the best time because I'm usually waking up all the animals by then," Carter grinned.


"No, no I insist," Vance grinned, "gentlemans honor."

Jay nodded, "Ok, i'll be there."

Brett gave a small smile, "thank you a lot."

Carter leaned forward and kissed his cheek before heading into the bedroom.


Vance grinned, "Ain't no thang."

Jay blushed softly as he watched Carter to go to his room before leaving and heading back to Adam's caravan.

Brett sat down with a yawn.

Carter collapsed on his bed and was soon asleep.


Vance grinned, "I bet your ready for bed. Rooms down at the end of the hall, don't worry about using different sheets and things. I don't mind."

Jay wolked intoi thw van and headed towards his room.

Brett nodded, "Thank you again.."

Jason jumped awake from his sleep.

"Your welcome," Vance replied with a quick smile.

Brett nodded before sitting down wrapping the blanket around himself and closeing his eyes.

Jason slowly got up and went into the bathroom, locking the door behind himslef.

Vance went into the bedroom, offering up a prayer to his patron god Ares. As a troll, he was older than all civilizations and had lived many different lives. Each of these lives were dictated by what the Seelie Court wanted from him. In Greece, he had once been a feared warrior protecting the emperor. During the Victorian Era, he had been the bodyguard to a wealthy family. Here? Well he had kept his bodyguard persona but he had been assigned to a new family. He was one of the lucky ones who weren't kept in chains.

He peaked in on Brett one final time, making sure the kid was okay. When he deemed he was alright, he headed into his own bedroom and shut out the light, falling into a fitful sleep.

Brett's wings showed as he lay sleeping, curled up on the bedding. They looked like they were protecting him as he slepted, the blue scales shining.

Ted smirked as he watched from the shadows, there was no way his brother would find his way home as long as the spell was working.

Vance felt awkward.

He could sense eyes on the house, all his years of being a bodyguard giving her exceptional senses. He stood, looking throughout the house. When he got to Brett, his breath was caught in his throat.

The wings.

They were beautiful, unlike anything that Vance had ever seen before.

Ted growled as he watched from the window, the wings that most found beautiful he hated the sight of.

Brett slepted on, not even noticing that someone was in the doorway.

Jason sighed and started messing with his phone, sleep not coming to him at all.

Vance wasn't sure what to do. He had guarded very many different sorts of creatures with wings, everything from angels to pixies in fact. But these wings were unlike anything he had ever seen. Without making a move, he moved in closer and touched them gently with his hand. He hoped he wouldn't wake the young man up.

Teegan loved the night time. He was one of the few in the circus, other than a fellow vampire named Cody, who knew the beauty of the night world. But tonight it didn't seem like it was that beautiful. Tonight, there was a lot on his mind.

That young man Jason for example. He loved him, he was sure of it at least. Love was not a word nor an emotion that he had been through a lot.

Brett murmured softly, still sound asleep as the hand was on his wings. They moved a little on instict, but the owner stayed in his dreams.

Jason found himself glancing over to where Teegan was, he had wondered for years if he would ever no what love felt like. His papa had tried to explain it to him, but he always had become sad while talking about it and Jason had stopped asking him. He wondered is this what his papa had felt for his father.

Vance smiled and moved his hand, feeling like a child who had done something wrong. He sat near the bed but made no move to do anything else. He was content like this.

"You feel it to huh?" Teegan asked on instinct as he looked over at Jason.

Ted threw a rock at the window, making Brett jump awake.

"You... You feel the same thing i am?" Jason asked, surprised.

Vance went typical ogre and his eyes went green, "Whose there!?"

"Love?" Teegan asked, making sure he was right.

Ted quickly disappeared.

Brett nervously sat up, looking at the window the rock had hit.

Jason nodded shyly, "Yeah... Love... I l-love..."

"Don't worry Brett," Vance replied as he looked ove his shoulder, "there's no one there."

"Then what was that noise....?" Brett asked softly, folding his wings away.

"I dunno but it's gone..." Vance replied as he sat across from him.

Brett nodded and yawned slightly, "Its still dark out?" He asked as he looked at the window.

AJ was working on his act in the main ring, the incubus didn't need to sleep much sometimes.

Vance nodded, "Go back to bed. I'll make sure you sleep sound."

Brett nodded, "Okay.... NIght." He said before yawning softly and curling back up on the bed, he snuggled deep into the blnket.
