How To Tell You (Nolee)

Adam watched his son practice, a mixter of proud and worried. After all Harris would soon find out he was here and then he would at least find out he had Jason..... And at worst find out Jason was his son....

Jason smiled as he finished another move, he smiled up at his papa. He paused when he noted his worried look and wondered what it was for, he looked around when he felt someone else watching.

Harris couldn't believe what he was seeing. For years he had tried to ignore the affair he had when he was first let out of hell. He had been a drunkard and wondered the world looking for the next lay. Adam, to him, had been nothing more than that. He had taken up with the circus, starting all sorts of odd jobs. And now, standing here before him, was his son. There was no mistaking the blonde who was practicing acrobatics was his son. He watched as he helped his daughter groom the new baby elephant that the circus had aquired, occasionally looking at his offspring.

Jason stopped and went to his father, "Papa lets go back to our van." He said as he grabbed his water and shirt.

Adam nodded and started to leave.

"Ya'll ain't gonna get prepared for the show in a few hours?" Harris asked loud enough that the two could hear him.

Adam swollowed softly but answered calmly, "We will get ready in our van.... And we will be ready on time..... Harris."

Harris nodded with a small frown, "Of course, Adam."

Nolee looked up, smiling kindly. "Do you two want to come see Ellie?" She knew what the man meant to her father, as well as the little boy. But the angel side of her wouldn't allow people to hate. "She's just a baby but she loves people."

Adam looked at Jason before noding, "Of course, she seems like a sweet creature."

Jason was worried, the man has his papa on edge.

Nolee smiled and gave Jason a kind look. If the man really was her brother, she didn't want to disappoint him and make him hate her. "She is a very sweet girl. Most elephants care very much for family you know."

Jason gave a smile and nod, the girl was kind but there was something inside him that made his not trust the man.

Nolee smiled and giggled when Ellie trumpeted, grabbing a trunk full of hay as she ate. "She's barely a year old. She was a runt by elephant standards too."

Harris looked at Jason, seeing a lot of himself in that young man. Looking back at Nolee he smiled, "My girl, always so enthralled by her elephants. I swear, she's more Tori than angel."

Adam swollowed hard at that, Harris knew. "We should go get ready......" He said to his son, not wanting to talk about this in fromt of him.

Nolee nodded, "If you have to go, then go. I don't want to discomfort you." She gave a small smile as Ellie laid on the ground.

Harris looked at Adam, "we need to talk later."

Adam swollowed softly and nodded.

Jason frowned, "Talk about what?" He asked, getting in front of Adam protectively.

Harris looked at Jason, "About you."

"What about me?" Jason asked lowly.

"Your my son," Harris replied simply.

Jason gritted his teeth angrily, "So your the sob that did it to papa." He hissed, his fists curled.

"Calm down kid," Harris said, "I was a different man then. I just want to talk about it. Besides, you don't want to fight me."

"And why not?" Jason hissed again, his fangs showing.

"Jason calm down now!" Adam said quickly.

Harris' eyes flashed a demonic red and black, "Because, son, I am still a demon and I am still a powerful man."

Nolee placed her hands over her ears, rocking back and forth.

Jason's own eyes flashed red as he growled before he jumped away from them all.

Adam called after him, "Jason!"

Harris looked at Adam, "Why didn't you tell me!?"

Nolee looked up, tears in her eyes, "P...please stop arguing?"

"How was i suppose to tell you?! You ran off before i could!" Adam said in a soft voice.

"I was a demon! I had never fallen in love, all I knew was lust!" Harris shouted at him.

Adam shook his head, "I have to go find my son...."

Jason sat alone in the far corner of the circus.
