A Watcher? (open)

Xavier looked around the seemingly empty park before grinning and shifting out of his human form, he slowly spread his light green wings. It had been a few days since he had been able get out of his human form thanks to the circus being in a larger town and he couldn't wait to get up in the air for a while. He started to move him wings and slowly took off from the ground, one of a dragons greatest joy was to soar though the open sky. He was smileing as he slowly did a few loops and turns, he always felt like a child again when he could play like this. He was glad he had came to the circus, he hated it at his family's main house. Everyone wanted him to act more like a grown-up and told him he had to act like the future head of the family, but all Xavier wanted to be was a simple dragon not the future leader of the great Greenscale clan. Xavier sigh before landing and stifting back, he knew sooner or later he would he made to return home. He ran his fingers through his hair before looking around suddenly, he felt someone was watching him...

Watching from his spot in a nearby tree, Terryn rolled his eyes as Xavier shifted into his dragon form to fly. He'd been sent by Xavier's family, the Greenscales, to be the dragon's bodyguard and hopefully convince him to return home; though Terryn doubted that he'd be able to do that as he watched Xavier fly. To him, the Greenscale heir looked more than happy where he was.

Waiting until Xavier had landed and shifted back into his human form, Terryn slid down from his perch in the tree, slowly walking over to him. He was dressed in dark clothes, a hood hiding his face, not really caring that his clothes would stand out in public, being closer to the kind worn in medieval days than modern clothes; he didn't spend much time in public, normally serving Xavier's family.

"I hope you checked there wasn't anyone else around here before doing that." He said as he reached Xavier.

Xavier sigh and half rolled his eyes, of course it would be Terryn it was always him. "Of course I did, its the first thing I always do." He said muttered, half sulking already. His bodyguard some how managed to make him feel like a child that was in trouble everytime, he reached for his jacket from the nearby ground and checked the time.

"Good," Terryn said, nodding, looking around cautiously before speaking again. "Last thing we need is hunters or any other humans learning we exist. You have to be careful...and not run off without me." He said quietly, giving Xavier a harsh look.

Xavier sighed and looked away from the hrash look, "I know... I know...." He said quietly, "I'm careful though..."

"Either way you still shouldn't run off." Terryn told him. "What if someone besides me had followed you and you didn't know?"

"I... I don't know..." Xavier sighed as he answered.

"Which is why you shouldn't run off on your own." Terryn said. "It's for your own safety."

Xavier mumbled quietly to himself but nodded.

"Come on," Terryn said, sighing quietly. "We should probably head back..."

Xavier nodded and started to walk back to the circus, he had to get ready for his show.

Terryn followed Xavier silently, keeping a lookout as they walked, always making sure they weren't being watched or followed. It wasn't because he was paranoid, he was just cautious and took his job as a bodyguard seriously.

Xavier smiled as he greeted a few of his friends at the circus, he glanced back once at Terryn;.

Besides looking around like he'd already been doing, Terryn ignored the others. He didn't see them as a threat to Xavier at all, so he felt no need to pay attention to the other circus members as he followed Xavier.

Xavier smiled as he made plans to meet the others later before going into his caravan.

Hearing Xavier making plans, Terryn made sure to pay attention to the details, following him inside the caravan when they reached it.

Xavier pulled off his jacket and his shirt as he looked around for his stuff for the show.

"Doing anything new in your act?" Terryn asked as he picked up a book to read, the writing in runes.

"i'm switching a few things up but nothing new yet." Xavier answered as he slide on his shirt for the show.

Terryn nodded, not looking up from his book. "Better to not have it exactly the same every time." He said.

Xavier nodded, watching the other dragon read from the mirror.

Terryn kept his eyes on the book, his way of giving Xavier privacy while he got ready, still listening but not looking.

Xavier finsihed changing and decided to sit down for a few minutes.

"Have you eaten?" Terryn asked as he sat.

"Not yet." Xavier answered as he leaned back.
